Sportsbet, a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment, announced on Thursday that Michael Foster has been appointed as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Foster is no stranger to Sportsbet, having previously served as the general manager of enterprise technology and general manager for customer experience delivery. His extensive experience within the company, spanning over seven years, is expected to make his transition into the new role smooth and effective.
Expressing his enthusiasm on LinkedIn, Foster highlighted the positive impact his journey with Sportsbet has had on him both personally and professionally.
"I’m super excited, thrilled, and privileged to continue my career journey at Sportsbet, now as the CIO. Sportsbet is an incredible organization to be a part of, and the last seven years have been incredibly rewarding both personally and professionally. Michael Foster’s Career Path: From Programmer to CIO
Foster holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science and Computer Software Engineering from RMIT University. His career began in early 2002 as a programmer, and by 2005, he joined Infosys as a development lead. He then moved to Sensis Classfields, where he served in various roles, including IT Development and Support Manager, IT Manager, Programs and Operations Manager, Group Manager-IT Operations, and Group Manager-Business Enablement Technology & Services.
With over 20 years of experience in Technology roles across various industries, Foster is well-equipped to thrive in his new position. His technical leadership and deep understanding of Sportsbet’s operations make him an ideal fit for the CIO role.
Foster acknowledged his mentors and expressed his readiness to meet customer needs with innovation and dedication.
