Allwyn Entertainment, a leading international lottery operator, has announced a key leadership change. Ifor Evans has been appointed as the new Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO), succeeding Tony Khatskevich, who will transition to an advisory role on the Board of Directors. Ifor will take up the CTO role at Allwyn on 1 June 2024.
Ifor Evans joins Allwyn from Gamesys PLC/Bally’s Corp, where he served as CTO since 2019. With over twenty years of industry experience, Evans has a strong background in developing and maintaining gaming platforms. Before his tenure at Gamesys, Evans was the CTO for Lazada in Southeast Asia, part of the Alibaba Group, where he managed a team of over 400 and directed the company's technology strategy.
In a statement, Allwyn expressed gratitude to outgoing CTO Tony Khatskevich for his six years of service, highlighting his pivotal role in securing the UK National Lottery bid.

In his new role, Evans will leverage his extensive experience to drive innovation at Allwyn. His responsibilities include launching new game formats and integrating advanced technologies to improve efficiency and broaden the company’s appeal.
The Allwyn Group has ambitious plans for the UK National Lottery, including expanding the range of titles available. The company’s strong performance is reflected in its robust first-quarter results.
